ACB arrests two govt employees for taking bribe
Hyderabad: Two State government employees including a headmaster were arrested by Anti-Corruption Bureau (ACB) in separate illegal gratification cases in Andhra Pradesh Saturday.
P Nageshwar Rao, headmaster of a government high school at Lampakalova in East Godavari district was caught red-handed by the sleuths of ACB when he accepted a bribe of Rs 10,000 from the complainant, ACB officials said.
The headmaster took the bribe for processing the bills related to mid-day meals to the complainant. The mid-day meals programme was being implemented by the State government in the schools.
In Vizianagaram district, P Eshwar Rao, a revenue inspector working in Parvathipuram municipality was trapped when he took a bribe of Rs 6,000 for doing an official favour to the complainant, they said.
