EdelGive Foundation is the not-for-profit subsidiary of Edelweiss Capital Limited. EdelGive Foundation was formally registered as a Section 25 company in May 2008, in order to create an effective and efficient institutional platform within the Edelweiss family which would provide structure and direction to the philanthropic activities of Edelweiss, its employees, its clients and associates.
Edelweiss believes that a large part of the success of Corporate India is owed to the spectacular growth and vibrancy of the Indian economy, and its mass of educated, employable youth. Edelweiss also recognizes the need for corporate organizations and its employees to share the resultant growth in income and wealth with less privileged sections of society – those sections who have not had access to this growth, nor to education nor to basic amenities.
EdelGive Foundation, whose primary focus is therefore on creating educational and employment opportunities for underprivileged youth, brings an investment banking and venture capital rationale and thinking to the social sector. Edelweiss strengths the ability and expertise to act as a bridge between providers and users of capital – are leveraged to achieve the objective of addressing the needs of this sector.
Light of Life Trust, Project Anando:
- Project Anando, Light of Light trust is one of the High Involvement projects of EdelGive Foundation, which involves funding and capacity-building.
