Rahul Bajaj, Chairman of Bajaj Auto Limited, was the chief guest at the event.
Dr Marcella D’Souza, Executive Director, Watershed Organization Trust (WOTR) received an award for her outstanding contribution in the field of water conservation. After receiving the award, Dr D’Souza said, “I am honored and happy to be the recipient of this award.” Dr D’Souza for over two decades has contributed immensely in this field and is actively involved in undertaking development initiatives focusing on village-led watershed management activities, aimed at conserving natural resources and improving livelihoods.
Another recipient of this award for contributing to Banking and Financial services was Ms Deena Mehta, Managing Director, Asit C. Mehta Investment Intermediates Ltd (ACMIL). “This award is exceptional as it’s my first award in Banking and Financial Services,” said Mehta after receiving the award. For over two decades, Mehta has managed to be updated on all developments of capital market and has successful promoted an investment culture in an otherwise speculative market.
Mr Rahul Bajaj, chief guest said, “It’s great to see women from different spectrums receiving awards. It inspires these women to work harder in order to accomplish their goals.”
The activities of Indian Merchant Chambers Ladies Wing encourage, inspire, and motivate women to participate in such challenging and motivating activities.
The panel of judges for this award function comprised Amla Ruia, Jalaj Dani, Bittu Sahgal, Meera Sanyal, Uday Kotak, and Homai Daruwalla.
