Financial Aid To Handicaps

Often physically and mentally challenged people considered as lifetime liability for the family and society. But Mr. Mohammed Yousuf not only stood to fight against every odd in his own life due to physical constraints, but also decided to help other physically challenged persons as well. An ordinary Indian with physical disability not only established his career in USA, but also initiated movement called ‘Help Handicap Foundation’ so as to pull out other disables form life of distress to see life of excellences.  He has set an example for persons with disability to help other disables. His attitude and working has motivated many organizations including AICMEU. 

Encouraged with Philanthropy of HHF (Help Handicap Foundation USA), AICMEU started helping handicaps in their rehabilitation programs. During 2005-06 to 2009-10 through AICMEU’s HHF rehabilitation Scheme we empowered 83 handicaps by financing them for purchase of equipments and establishment of small business enterprises. This amounted total aid worth Rs. 14,87,947 which is fully granted by HHF, USA. 

After investigation and documentation process, we are looking to help around 20 applicants by delivering financial assistance worth around Rs. 6,00,000 under AICMEU’s HHF rehabilitation scheme. To deliver financial aid / assistance to selected handicaps, we have invited Mr. Suhas Kale as Chief Guest for AID DISTRIBUTION FUNCTION on Monday, 31^st May 2010 at 3.00 pm at AICMEU’s J. R. Career Centre, Dharamshala Road, Mumbai – 40009. Mr. Suhas Kale (with physical disability) the Managing Director of Maharashtra State Handicapped Finance and Development Corporation can best rate the significance of such events.  Chairman of AICMEU Mr. Syed Anwarali Shall preside the function while Dr. M. I. Bagsiraj (Hon. Secretary General of AICMEU) will convene the function. Dr. Rahmatullah (Founder Trustee of AICMEU), Dr. M. A. Patankar (Community leader), Mr. Iqbal Hamid Memon (Officer Fashion Crafts), Mr. Shahid Latif (Editor Inquilab) and Mr. Ikhlaq Ansari (Municipal Corporater) shall be our Guest of Honor for the occasion.
