BMC to fine owners of stray animals
MUMBAI: Here is some good news for motorists fed up of bumping into stray cattle roaming aimlessly on the roads. The BMC has decided to form a team of inspectors, on the lines of clean-up marshals, to penalize owners of stray cattle.
The civic body will appoint an agency, just like it did in the case of clean-up marshals, to implement the idea on a pilot basis for three months. “We will soon invite tenders to appoint an agency,” additional municipal commissioner Manisha Mhaiskar said.
