CBSE clears question papers for visually impaired……Dipti Sonawala
To enable more visually impaired students to take up science stream at senior secondary level, the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) will now set special question papers in physics, chemistry, biology and Mathematics. The CBSE has already issued a circular to all its school announcing the same.
The new scheme will be implemented from March 2012 exams for Class XI students and for Class XII students from the 2013 board exams. The board through its circular has also instructed the school to disseminate information about the new scheme to all concerned.
The circular, dated December 23, states that the visually impaired students will not have to appear for practical exams under this new scheme.
