Sub : Municipal School Teacher beats up a five year old student
Dear Ms. Indira Yadav Ji
It is brought to your kind notice that we have received a complaint from the parents that their child, namely, Ajay, aged 5 years, student of class I of MCD Primary School, Kishan Garh, New Delhi 110070 has been badly beaten with stick last week by his teacher, namely, Babita.
It is surprising that inspite of the fact that there is total ban on corporal punishment, teachers in municipal schools are frequently using sticks to beat and terrorize the small children. It is not only inhuman and cruel but also a matter of great shame. It appears that the municipal authorities inspite of knowing well that the teachers frequently make use of sticks to punish the small kids, no serious action has so far been taken in this regard. It must be understood that the teachers by beating their students are guilty of violating with impunity all human and fundamental rights of such students.
Kindly look into this matter and take appropriate action immediately.
Thanking you
With warm regards
