- Today NGOs are mushrooming throughout the country, but not all are equally committed or capable. Hence, there is a need to separate grain from the chaff.
- Background of the promoters, main objects, performance, commitment of the promoters, capability of the manpower behind an NGO, political leanings, etc.
- May be professional agencies like ICRA could as a service to community.
- My knowledge is limited and so my choices are also limited
.My impression is Agni is doing good work
.Rotary and Lions clubs also do good work
.Door step school and Akanksha are also doing a worthwhile job
..then there are NGOs devoted to specific causes e.g. NAB, Spastics Society, etc.,
but in respect of creating awareness and affording a ready platform and acting as a catalyst for all NGOs at large I think it would be Karmayog
..the very fact that I am responding in the middle of my busy schedule on Monday afternoon is a tribute to you and Karmayog.
