Dear Alumnus,
Along with the colors of Holi in March, we bring you this newsletter with tidbits from our large alumni family and news from the Institute.
March saw us celebrating the 48th Foundation day on the 13th of the month. Do join us in congratulating the recipients of the Distinguished Alumnus Awards – 2007.
The month also made us face the reality of our thin hold on life as we confronted the news of the sad demise of Sharad Maloo (Dual Degree, Computer Science, 2006), an exceptionally bright alumnus on 22nd March. This was followed by the sad demise of Prof. Suresh Dixit (Assoc. Prof., Dept. of Metallurgical Engg. and also an IITB alumnus – B.Tech., MEMS. 1967, M.Tech., MEMS, 1971 & Ph.D. 1984) on 28th March. Please join us in our heartfelt condolences to both the families.
With more news following, we take this opportunity to once again reiterate our appeal to write in to us about any important events, achievements, contributions, or any information you feel would be useful to share with your alma mater. We would definitely like to put up such useful and exciting news on our newsletter’s “Alumni Related” section. We would also appreciate your comments, suggestions and feedback on how we could make this newsletter more informative
and exciting.
