Most important – Passion for doing things for children.
In a city where 33% of the population is in the pediatric age group (birth
to 16 years), it is shame that till date we have not been able to provide
specific services
* designed for children
* offered for children
* with the participation of the adult citizens.
A shame that child needs and rights are totally ignored.
A shame that hospitals have mushroomed all over the city, but none
exclusively for children.
We have this vision and invite others to share it with us.
SRCC was registered in 1948 under the Societies Act & subsequently under the
Public Trust Act. It is devoted to children, and in 1950 the “Children’s
Orthopedic Hospital” opened to assist children afflicted by polio. Over the
years, as cases of polio decreased, SRCC extended its facilities to look
after children with other disablities, including running a School for
Remedial Education.
Now the plans are to establish a super-speciality multi-discipline
Children’s Hospital at Haji Ali.
It is expected that Phase-1 of this Project, a “Centre for Child
Development” will be ready for occupation in June/July 2008. We are thus
looking for suitable candidate to put our vision into action.
Attached plese find a copy of the advertised placed in the newspapers.
