The accident helpline 97999 26000 under Highway Rescue Project has been started in Rajasthan on NH-8 by Lifeline Foundation. Our aim is to provide instant help to road accident victim and transfered them to the nearest medical facility. Lifeline is making a broad based support system by creating a pool of resources which are already existing on indian highways. We are covering 519 kms of NH-8 in Rajasthan. We have started earlier in Gujarat, Maharashtra, West Bengal and kerala. 24 hours control room runs in each states to manage the accident cases. More than 35 ambulances has been networked on NH-8. The service is free of cost to all accident victims. Lifeline has improved that the service may be provided with already existing facility without creating new one. We are covering more than 4000 kms of five indian states without government funding.
