Beginning with a small group of committed people, Dr. Ambedkar Sansthan
was formed in the year 1987 attempting to transform its beliefs into reality.
It is an organization based in Siwan district of Bihar. It got formally
registered in January 1988(under societies registration act). We started our
activities with one non-formal education and vocational training center for
women in the village Gabhirar.
of female literacy, formal education for children, non-formal education, rural
employment, income generating skills, SHG formation, community health,
environmental concern, conservation of traditional knowledge, sustainability in
agriculture and awareness programmes on various social issues. The activities
reach out to poor, disadvantaged and marginalized women, adolescents children
from rural and urban areas of Siwan district. Dr. Ambedkar Sansthan journey
owes much to the unstinting support of a large number of friends, supporters
and well-wishers. The aims and
objectives of Dr. Ambedkar Sansthan are varied, yet pointed towards the common
goal of making a positive difference to the quality of life of the people
concerned. However, the tasks which we feel most important are
education to all.

cultural and traditional heritage.

its transfer from elders to youngers.
# Planting of fruit and valuable trees to enhance the nutritional
status as well as economic status of the people.
#To help and support the “exploited” section of the society.
# To aware the farmers about the use of modern seeds and chemicals in
agriculture.
