About the play
A musical satire in Hindi, adapted from B Suresha’s original Kannada play ‘Girija Kalyana’.
Girija Ke Sapne is at times hilariously funny and at times ridiculous, with shades of pathos. It is the story of a young village girl, her dreams and her aspirations.
Colourful and lively performances by a young cast.
The play is a comment on the problems faced by common farmers and workers in our country.
Premiered at the Prithvi Theatre Festival 2007. Also been staged at the Rashtriya Natya Mahotsav 2008 at Lucknow, at the Qadir Ali Baig Theatre Festival at Hyderabad in 2008 and at Ranga Shankara, Bangalore.
