D: My Suggestions | |
1. For head of government department:
Suggestion 1: | In Harbour line from Mankhurd to Mumbai C.S.T. most of the gutters is chocked up and even after flash flood faced in Mumbai on 26th July, the railway still adament in taking necessary steps in cleaning the big and small gutters which is in most of the place not visible or either blocked or chocked up with muds and filths. A Major cleaning activities should be undertaken. Railway cannot complete ignore the problem and run away from their own responsibility and put the whole blame on BMC only. There is lack of co-ordination and stiff competition between BMC and Railway. There is a cold war between railway an d BMC when such issues arise. A special powered liaison officials should be appointed to deal with such problem to narrow the difference between BMC and Railways. >From the information from Chembur Railway officials, the seniors at Mumbai CST not interested in the development of Chembur Railway station or or development of Harbour line by either neglecting the issue or excuse. |
Suggestion 2: | The erring officials should be punished immediately and all the report on monthwise and yearwise should be collected by senior officials the work undertaken in Harbour Line/ Central Line and Western line separately and the station officials report regarding the problem facing by them, remedial measures undertaken, written official clarification, the time and amount spent on solving this issue, whether all the work done only on paper and need investigation whether bogus payments is made. |
Suggestion 3: | The biggers and train robbers roaming freely in and around Chembur railway stationa nd other harbour line stations. Women commuters finding it difficult to pass through this station. There is lack of loos in the Harbour line. If available, it is not cleaned and cannot be used. Even after repeated attempt to bring the fact before the media, the authorities not moving an inch till date. There are reports that some leading politician like Gurudas Kamat, Handore and others interfering the function. |
2. For the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) / Central Bureau of Investigation (CBI):
Suggestion 1: | Need to ask all files, papers, vouchers, reports made by Chembur railway and other railway stations in Mumbai regarding cleaning work undertaken, the contractor’s role in this scam, the Public Works Dept. of the railways and other departments involvement in such large scale corruption for not doing any work. From Mankhurd to Mumbai C.S.T. on harbour line a video shooting should be made and necessary photographs should be taken on the record both by the media as well as the concerned official before starting the thorough investigation. It is necessary because there is a hide and seek game done by the officials and surprise visits and raids should be conducted to get the correct fact. A special team should be created and necessary media help also sought to bring out the correct fact. How the railways undertaken monsoon preparedness in this summer which need to be sought. |
Suggestion 2: | In the name of providing amenities, cleanliness, garbage removal etc. railways spending lakhs of rupees with no proper accountability and responsibility and misappropriating the funds allocated to specific purpose. The role of officials clearly defined and their name and numbers should clearly displayed in all railway stations on department wise and their duties and responsibilities so that citizen can contact them immediately and find out the solution. Such practices not following railways. |
3. For other citizens: | |
