5 Point Pledge today — World Water Day!
From: Narendra Sheth Stop eating meat. Quit dairy and eggs for even more savings.
“To produce a day’s food for one meat-eater takes over 4,000 gallons (16,000 liters); for a lacto-ovo vegetarian, only 1,200 gallons (4,800 liters); for a pure vegetarian, only 300 gallons (1,200 liters).” — Diet For a New America, page 367, by John Robbins.
As a pure vegetarian, you can still enjoy a shower, while saving 14,330 liters of water a day…
I personally quit all dairy 11 years ago, and my health has improved too, while saving money, etc.
