Mumbai's Water situation

About 2,000,000 tons of water falls on one sq km or about 2 million tons of water per sq km of space (per 1 sq km of space in bombay)

One person needs about 100 litres of water per day, or 36,500 liters per year or say about 40 tons of water per year
So one sq km is enough for about 50,000 people per year!

Or 300sq km is enough for about 15,000,000 or 15 million people per year(population of whole of greater Bombay!)

Bombay + Gretaer Bombay is much more than 300sq km!

About 98% of the rain water goes back to the sea in about 3 hours time, after raining!

We need to do a lot of work my Friend!
